South Carolina Philharmonic: Bohemian Rhapsodies

cl-151108squareThe Koger Center in Columbia was the site for a concert of beloved works by two Czech nationalist composers. The orchestra plays three of the six pieces that comprise Smetana’s magnum opus, “My Homeland.” Then cellist Julie Albers puts her distinctive personal stamp on a work by Dvorak that is closely associated with some of the greatest cellists of the last one hundred years.
